Massachusetts Juvenile Police Officer's Association

Dear MJPOA Member:

As we approach the end of another safe and successful school year, I wish to invite you to the Massachusetts Juvenile Police Officer's Association (MJPOA) year end luncheon.

This year's luncheon will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 11:45a.m., Ken's Steak House, Route 9, Framingham, MA. We will be honoring MJPOA members who have contributed to the success of the Association; and Attorney John Scheft will join us for an informal discussion and take questions regarding juvenile issues. I realize that many of us are busy with year-end activities, proms, and graduation, but I do hope you will take the time to join us for a nice Prime Rib or Scrod lunch and some networking.

Welcome From 2008-2009 MJPOA President Scott Camilleri

As the 2008-2009 President of the Massachusetts Juvenile Police Officer's Association (MJPOA), I would like to welcome you to our website and hope you find it helpful and informative. Please continue checking the website for upcoming MJPOA Seminars and Training Events.

I would like to thank former President, Sergeant Dan Perenick of the Winchester Police Department for his guidance and vision of MJPOA. Dan's organizational skills are amazing and we are grateful for his continued involvement as a member on the Board of Directors. I would also like to welcome our new MJPOA Officers; Treasurer, Detective Chip Yeaton of the Canton Police Department and Secretary, School Resource Officer Kevin Devoe of the Waltham Police Department.

The Massachusetts Juvenile Police Officer's Association consists of hard working and dedicated police officers. Whether you're a School Resource Officer, Juvenile Officer, Detective, DARE Officer, or Supervisor, the goal is the same, keeping the youth of today safe and secure. It takes a unique and special individual to build relationships with children, young adults, and their families. Add the dynamics of the school environment and our roles and responsibilities become even more complex and invaluable.

Our goal is to continue to increase membership and provide outstanding training opportunities, which will keep you updated on youth issues, juvenile law, and school issues. A great way to stay involved and receive up-to-date emails on our seminars and trainings is to become a member of the MJPOA. Please click on the membership link, download an application and return it to MJPOA, P.O. Box 14 Concord, MA 01742.

If there is a topic or training you would like to see MJPOA sponsor or if you have any suggestions or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 978-318-3414 or scamilleri @concordma.gov

Thank you for serving, guiding, and protecting our youth of today!
