Specialized Training | (40
hours minimum). Including seminars and continuing education programs whose curriculum
focus is on juvenile justice and delinquency prevention. Possession of an Associates
Degree in Criminal Justice, Behavioral Science, Corrections, or related areas
would suffice for 15 hours of specialized training. |
Professional Achievement |
If applicant has made a significant contribution in the field of juvenile justice
or delinquency prevention by publishing an article or received state certification
by an affiliated police juvenile officers association, or received community service
awards, or has been acknowledged for his/her professionalism. Community involvement
should be demonstrated. School relationships should be documented (letters from
school authorities), public speaking (where, when, subjects, how many hours total),
task forces (name, when, subject addressed), service clubs (what relationship
or contribution), a waiver not to exceed 15 hours or specialized training maybe
granted. |
